Science - Mr. Cox

Today the students recieved instructions and logins for Study Island.  This is a website paid for by the school to help students study.  I have posted a 30 question review similar to what students can expect to find on thier science test on Friday.  I have provided breif instructions for how the students can login below.  I hope to add a page to my science blog during Thanksgiving break (when I have some time) that will include a full walkthrough.

1. Go to http://www.studyisland.com/
2. The username is the student's first and last name (no spaces) followed by "@gms"
-example:  John Smith's username would be johnsmith@gms
3. The password is the student's Student ID#, without the leading zero
-example: ID# 0912345 would make the password 912345
4.  I have made an assignment titled "Test Review" - click on the assignment title

Science - Mr. Cox

Today the students were given a paper to complete in preparation for a project building a model of the Earth's layers. The paper (titled Model Earth Layers) is due on Thursday. That paper, along with their model will count as a test grade. The main part of the worksheet students should focus on is providing appropriate reasons for choosing each layers substitute (creativity is encouraged).

The students should also start preparing for the first test of the second nine weeks. This test will be given on Friday of this week. Look for a full review to be posted on the science blog Wednesday or early Thursday.

Ms. Kelly - Social Studies

The students are to study for their Government test.
